Good little diner that has been around forever in Listowel. I had Roast Beef with horseradish that tickled the nose. The Roast Beef looked on the edges that it was sitting in the warmer too long but the Centre was good and tender as were the mashed potatoes. My wife had the liver and onions of which she said was delicious. Quick service and it was approximately $30 for the two of us.

Took my parents out for supper and my dad couldn't stop talking about a good experience he had like 25 years ago. Honestly the locals know how good this spot is. The curb appeal could use a little paint job but the food was really good and the price was insanely cheap for restaurant in 2025. Coleslaw was home made, in house battered fish was good, burger was massive and the egg sandwich was an amazing deal. Service was really good. 3 of us at for $50 which is amazing. Free coffee refills. Would recommend for a chill, quiet, economically good meal out. Will be returning for sure.

When we’re road tripping, we always look for independent restaurants to visit along our route. Roadhouse 23 checks all the boxes; simple decor, a menu that has something for everyone, food that’s reliable and homemade, and servers and patrons who all know each other’s names. I’ll definitely visit again in the future!
